چکیده

This is the first report on possible use of decanter cake waste (DCW) from palm oil industry as alternative nutrient sources and biomass support particles for whole-cell lipase production under solid-state fermentation (SSF) by newly isolated fungal Aspergillus sp. MS15 their application a low-cost environment-friendly biocatalyst biodiesel production. The results found that DCW supplemented with 0.1% K2HPO4, 0.05% MgSO4·7H2O, 1% peptone 2% urea pH adjusted to 6.0 was optimal moisture content temperature 60% 37.5 °C, respectively. Environmentally friendly production, through either esterification or transesterification using immobilized biocatalyst, optimized. reaction both reactions 37 °C. effectively esterified oleic acid into >95% yield water activity at 0.71 an methanol molar ratio 2:1, also transesterified 0.81 3:1. fuel properties produced are close international standards. These have shown circular utilization mill effective may contribute greatly sustainability renewable bioenergy

Whole cell biocatalyst for biodiesel fuel production utilizing Rhizopus oryzae cells immobilized within biomass support particles.

As part of a research program aimed at producing biodiesel fuel from plant oils enzymatically cells of Rhizopus oryzae (R. oryzae) IFO4697 (with a 1,3-positional specificity lipase) immobilized within biomass support particles (BSPs) were investigated for the methanolysis of soybean oil. The R. oryzae cells easily became immobilized within the BSPs during batch operation. To enhance the methano...

Development of Clay Foam Ceramic as a Support for Fungi Immobilization to Biodiesel Production (RESEARCH NOTE)

Biodiesel is an attractive alternative fuel because of its nontoxicity and biodegradability properties. Biodiesel is produced through transesterification of vegetable oils’ triglyceride. It is obtained from vegetable oils or fats either by chemical or enzyme-catalyzed transesterification with methanol or ethanol. By using whole-cell biocatalyst immobilized within biomass support particles (BSPs...

Feasibility of cattle urine as nutrient medium for the microalgal biomass production

Thenutrient medium used for the cultivation of microalgae adds more cost to its value-added product as well as the commercial scale application. Therefore in this study, focused feasibility of cattle urine as a cheap source of nutrients for microalgal growth, because, it contains various minerals and economical which may support the growth of microalgae and reduce the medium cost. To check this...

Lipase Immobilized into Novel GPTMS: TMOS Derived Sol-Gels and Its Application for Biodiesel Production from Waste Oil

In this essay, lipase from Burkholderia cepacia was immobilized into 3-glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane (GPTMS) and tetramethoxysilane (TMOS) derived sol-gels. GPTMS:TMOS molar ratio of 1:3 was found to yield the best result. The morphological characteristics were investigated based on SEM and BET analysis. Sample mean pore diameter was 39.1 nm, it had a specific surface area of 60 m2/g prior to...
